This was an interesting one. I don’t really get how SP would carry on without Billy. Like, he’s 80 years old, sitting at home writing songs, and lets Mike, Nicole and Jeff tour without him? Maybe hologram Billy? hmm…
I can see how this might work for KISS, a band arguably fronted by a makeup artist, but the Pumpkins seem like a different deal to me.
Sounds to me like it’s his mid western sense of humor in full force again.
Even if he genuinely believed in the sentiment behind that idea, I don’t think he would ever practically allow that to happen. So it probably was/is idealistically how he feels, but…nah. I’d see hologram Billy, though.
Also, the comments after that article are awesome. Ppl have a real disdain for the man and it’s funny to be reminded of that sometimes.
I’m a musician and this article just like every Billy Corgan Interveiw I’ve read since 95 was very encouraging and Inspirational. Thank you Billy for being there without really being there
I strongly dislike when BIlly tries to get all Neil Young on us. I mean he’s been wanting that title for years but its something that isn’t given its earned.
this is a great interview. I also very much enjoyed the arsehole comments- “Billy completely misrepresents pitchfork” etc etc… Ho and indeed, ho.
