Someone should ask him what exactly TbK is at this point because the 44-song thing was the last defining characteristic of the project as originally announced.
Maybe he’ll start retconning and make past works part of it. :-p
In the following video he says that no one is going to sit down and listen to a 60 minute album all the way through and especially not more than once. He really doesn’t know his audience. Maybe your everyday person who listens to the top 40 won’t listen to an entire album, but that’s not who Billy is playing to. He’s playing to this niche that still appreciates good, atmospheric, thoughtful music and we will sit and listen to a 60 minute album. I’ve listened to Oceania multiple times already and I know a lot of people here have. People I know that really appreciate music definitely listen to albums all the way through. Maybe Billy isn’t interested in this niche. Maybe he wants to be in the top 40 alongside Kanye and Lady Gaga. I just don’t see the appeal in that.
“Why spend the money on the expensive video when you can spend it on something fun like a big mouse head?”
lol
what? Billy corgan slightly changing his mind. Get out of here. But seriously, I just listened to Oceania in full and sounds like a total winner in my books. Best album since adore. The celestials is one the best songs that billy has written, in my books. I need to buy some new books. (neverletthesummercatchyoudown)
