Nicole Fiorentino’s other band, The Cold and Lovely, has unveiled a kickstarter-esque campaign to raise money for the release of their new album. According to a press release on the band’s website, the now-trio (Fiorentino, Meghan Toohey, and new drummer Patty Schemel) have largely recorded the album, but need to raise money to put on the finishing touches and fund the release.
Incentives for pledging range from a digital album download ($10) to dinner with the band in LA ($1000) to a Nicole Fiorentino custom bass ($3600). Or for the risk-takers among us, $75 will get you a “Random Mystery Tote Bag.”
Have this band played any live shows or anything?
nope
Not a bad ‘campaign’, the incentives are pretty reasonable.
I’ll probably go for the CD option (I’d love to get the acoustic CD too but $53 extra is a little too steep). But I don’t see a “Date & Marry Nicole Fiorentino” option–did somebody already claim it? Damn!
Some pretty unique incentives. I can’t imagine how much more money that whole living room concert would cost even beyond the pledge, but that would be a unique experience. There’s no telling how much I would pay for the Pumpkins to play in my living room.
I gave those rough mixes a listen on their website and I liked what little I heard. Good luck Nicole! (But not too much luck. We don’t want you leaving the Pumpkins for more lucrative endeavors.)
as much as i love music i have no interest to ever skype/chat with an artist. i imagine that would be kinda awkward….”hey ahh thanks for writing that song, its my favorite…..um…so…hows about that local sports team?”
Patty Schemel is playing with the Cold and the Lovely? How cool is that!
Does guitar riff in “Not With Me” by The Cold And Lovely sound like La Dolly Vita?
ah ha hah it does – it remindz me of summit else n all but can’t place it
anyways i like it – ill support em
