An announcement by Wizard World, a producer of comic-book conventions, reads:
2-TIME GRAMMY AWARD WINNER Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins, Coming to Chicago Comic Con!
Billy will be appearing Saturday, August 13th at the Judas Posters booth from 5-7PM! Billy, a lifelong fan of Professional Wrestling, will be appearing at Wizard World Chicago to support his new position as creative director for the brand new wrestling promotion RESISTANCE PRO. Wizard World Chicago will be the host to the official announcement as to what RESISTANCE plans on doing to change the face of Professional wrestling as we know it!

Oh, my god. This will either be really good, or cringe inducing.
Well, I was already gonna be there. Might as well check out the ol’ Bollster.
Poor comic-con really isn’t about comics anymore, it’s for celebs of all types to shill vaguely geek-related projects and get some free publicity in a slow summer news season. But good for Billy for trying to get deeper involved into something he’s passionate about, which could also mean less wrestling-related SP projects. Or more cross promotion. Probably the last bit.
Also, I miss wizard magazine, that was good bathroom readin!

The pic is a nice change up from the Peppermint one.
Maybe Billy will hook up with Olivia from Fringe, and then have many babies.
