Above: Thursdays this fall, the CW asks: “Are you with us or against us, tonight…at 8/7 Central?”
“The Fellowship,” a new song from the Smashing Pumpkins, will appear on a soundtrack album being issued on October 12 for “The Vampire Diaries,” a television program returning in the fall for its second season on the CW network. A listing on Amazon.com also implies that music from the track could be used in upcoming episodes:
The ORIGINAL TELEVISION SOUNDTRACK: THE VAMPIRE DIARIES features exclusive fan favorites from Season One + new tracks that will be featured in Season Two.
Pumpkins songwriter Billy Corgan has performed “The Fellowship” in concert before, specifically when he toured southern California in 2009 as part of Spirits in the Sky.

Awesome – maybe we’ll get a September song and this in October.
I hope Linda was able to contribute her backup vocals to this as well. Sounded nice on “Widow”…
Interesting. Billy is definitely aiming for a new generation of fans. I wonder if this song will also be a Teargarden release or if it will be separate from that project.
vampires r sew hawt.
I think this is a separate song. It says original soundtrack. Doesn’t that mean that it’s usually the only place you can find the songs?
Pretty exciting stuff! It’s a good show and will be even better now with SP!! How ironic too…I just posted the chords for this song a few days ago. Please do correct any of my possible incorrect lyrics if you can! Cheers.

lols all around.
@Exclaimed Not necessarily. Doomsday Clock was on the Transformers soundtrack for example.
It wouldn’t make much sense to put a song on a soundtrack that is just going to be free on the band’s web site though. SP Media Militia said the next song is not The Fellowship but it’s possible they could release it as song 7 in October to coincide with the release of the soundtrack…
I’d like to think it’ll be a bonus track but either way it’ll be the first time we get 2 new songs within 1 month, since the project started :p
woaah. vampires.
@drevpile
go to your pile, Drev. and as usually lick mayfars ass besides JC.
@Jillysp… male or female? lol Or vampire or werewolf! Oh oops that was twilight!
OMG SILVERSUN PICKUPS AND SP ON THE SAME COMPACT DISC!!! …… but seriously yay for the fellowship!
The world is a vampire diary! :D
@ Cris Yes The fellowship is seriously yay i must agree I luv the song. So are you with us or against us? Well I should hope that all who read this blog are not against SP! :-) But I bet someone will beg to differ. Doh!
What a joke.
Lol ‘are you with us or against us tonight…. At 8/7 central?’
What a stupid, stupid show. I hate this vampire trend. They must think Billy is still a vampire. Everyone knows he lost his powers back when he was attacked by the Jimmy Chamberlin werewolf. Hes a mere human now, duh.
