3. Saturnineage - 8:44 am // Saturday, June 12, 2010

A lot of songs I’ve never heard of. Maybe there are Backwards Clock Society songs? Any links to those unreleased ones, like Emerald Green Is the Colour, Make It Happen, or Shadowland?

4. afrobutterfly - 12:07 pm // Saturday, June 12, 2010

Voted for “The Rose March,” “BTL,” “99 Floors,” “A Stitch in Time” and “Gossamer.”

5. jjb - 1:01 pm // Saturday, June 12, 2010

It just figures that Corsage in Flames and Choose to Choose Love would be the last ones without any votes, since I’m unaware of anyone who likes them except me…but I didn’t vote for them :( They deserve better!

6. Awmg - 6:36 pm // Saturday, June 12, 2010

Tom Tom, Emerald Green, 99 Floors, Stellar, & Gossamer were the best ones on there IMO

7. AmazingHat - 7:58 pm // Saturday, June 12, 2010

Gossamer, Tarantula, Rose March, Ma Belle, Stellar, Death from Above, 7 Shades of Black, 99 Floors, When the Cocks Crow, and Freak were my votes

8. AmazingHat - 8:00 pm // Saturday, June 12, 2010

Also, do we have full recordings of Corsage in Flames or Orpheus Descending?

9. PumpkinSeeds - 8:26 pm // Saturday, June 12, 2010

I’ve been surprised Caroline, Yes doesn’t get more love. Hauntingly beautiful, dark, lonely, tragic, basically an adore song.

10. D - 8:28 pm // Saturday, June 12, 2010

@Pumpkinseeds: I agree about Caroline, Yes! I’m praying that’ll make the cut for Teargarden..it’s been in my top 3 since 2007 for sure!
Where does Corsage in Flames come from??

11. wombat77 - 11:39 pm // Saturday, June 12, 2010

speaking of new songs, anyword when the new tbk song is going to be released?

16. Topher - 1:21 am // Monday, June 14, 2010

4th of July?

17. wombat77 - 3:28 am // Monday, June 14, 2010

Well I’m am hoping it’s sooner than 4th of July. Astral Planes was released 16th April which is nearly 8 weeks ago. Billy said in the recent interview that each song will be available every 4-6 weeks. So I wonder what the delay is. I am trying to be patient but it’s hard sometimes.

18. Spumkins33 - 9:38 am // Monday, June 14, 2010

So in a semi-related note. What is the best quality/sounding Spirits in the Sky show to download?

Everything I’ve heard has really LOW audio and sounds like it was recorded in someone’s pocket.

19. MAKO - 9:54 am // Monday, June 14, 2010

August 26th and August 27th are quite good. I downloaded it at livearchive.

20. Vaughn - 2:29 pm // Monday, June 14, 2010

Thanks HU for this survey! The results have surprised me a bit… There are some songs which people REALLY criticised when they were released, but which are scoring well and others which people gushed about, but which are going badly… It makes me wonder what the results would be like if people could only vote for one song: Is Gossamer an absolute favourite or just something from people’s top ten?

Thanks for all your other good work too!

21. Spumkins33 - 10:22 am // Tuesday, June 15, 2010

@MAKO

Got a link – I can’t get Spirits in the Sky to come up on a search of that site!

THANKS!

22. kim jong ill - 12:12 pm // Tuesday, June 15, 2010

billy needs to devote more time to making me happy. give my all your songs billy.

23. Kevin Costner - 12:23 pm // Tuesday, June 15, 2010

What is the song Billy Corgan sings with an acoustic guitar while wearing his nightie in If It All Goes Wrong? I vote for that one.

24. MAKO - 12:51 pm // Tuesday, June 15, 2010
25. Ronald Reagan - 7:58 pm // Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Billy Corgan I personally suggest you release more Teargarden By Kaleidyscope tracks before I am resurrected in the zombie apocalypse. If not I will be feasting your brains first.

26. Randelius - 6:19 am // Wednesday, June 16, 2010

I didn’t see it until after I voted, but Communion is amazing– only made a brief appearance during the latter shows in 08.

27. Spumkins33 - 8:31 am // Wednesday, June 16, 2010

Thanks MAKO!

I owe you a drink or at least a basket of fries or something. Coming to Richmond or Norfolk?

28. MAKO - 9:50 am // Wednesday, June 16, 2010

32. HU Podcast #62: Poll Results « Hipsters United - 5:33 pm // Thursday, June 24, 2010

[...] with the intention of doing a short, one-topic podcast about the results of the recent poll of your favorite Billy Corgan-penned songs post-revival.  I figured we’d argue about some songs, make fun of each others’ tastes, and call it [...]
