I like his comment, “It’s not like I’m up against the titans of rock” convo. Funny and lots of truth!

Hahahaha….Pumps and a Bump! I saw MC Hammer earlier in the year and this just makes it even more hilarious.

I quite enjoyed this interview. It was fun and entertaining. However, I have to agree with Billy’s dad. I don’t see how anyone could really understand that “song for a son” was about Billy not having children and his father. The lyrics are kind of abstract, I don’t think most people would have known without the title or Billy explaining it.

Most courteous and reasonable-sounding tyrant I’ve ever heard speak.

I enjoyed the interview, though I take slight offense at the whole money business talk and BC’s frustration with people not wanting to pay $1 for a song.

Where the argument fails, in my opinion, is that he doesnt acknowledge that there are hundreds of thousands of songs out there, so its not so much a matter of not wanting to pay $1 for a song, as much as it is about deciding where Im going to invest that dollar. If people dont want to pay $1 for a Pumpkin song, it’s not because they’re cheap, but maybe because they havent seen much worthwhile that convinces them to put that dollar towards SP and not towards whatever other band is out there.

It’s always strange when people for whom money is not an issue rail against us workin’ folk. I thoroughly appreciate the free songs. I would have bought them for sure, but this greatly helps.

rC: $1.30 quibbles
