B.C. is brilliant right now and that brilliance is demonstrated within the beauty of these new songs.
In my opinion, Billy never stopped being brilliant. Zeitgeist was a brilliant way to bring the band back, to rock it out!
Now the whole SP beauty is shaping back and some really peak work is definitely coming up!
i agree, gauphil.
very very good
god i love this song more and more every time i listen to it.
great sound quality on this video too.
Mike’s drumming on A New Day Yesterday (Jethro Tull cover) is quite awesome.
I have a feeling the “Mike Issue” won’t be one soon. I mean, he’ll definitely bring some freshness to the sound of the band. Even thought he’s not Jimmy. Jimmy was the greatest ever but he was not necessarily bringing much new ideas or sounds to the band.
Don’t get me wrong, Jimmy was the definite shit!
I’m very happy to report that these songs are actually creating an emotional response in me again…as much as I liked Zeitgeist, it wasn’t resonating in that abstract personal space that older SP was able to get into every time. Songs like ‘Freak’ and ‘Emerald Green’ and ‘Widow Make My Mind’ and ‘A Stitch in Time’ definitely are…and that’s listening to rough recorded versions. I’m thrilled and excited to hear studio versions of work like this and I think if Corgan keeps down this path he’ll shut a lot of the haters up…
You guys are fooling yourself, the best songs they do are the covers!!!
Not true. The best ones are Caroline, yes, Freak and widow, Wake my mind IMO.
