No Smashing Pumpkins song was among the 1,761 singles receiving at least one mention from any of the 579 music critics taking part in the just-published 2008 edition of Village Voice‘s annual “Pazz & Jop” poll.
In the 2007 singles poll, “Tarantula” and “That’s the Way” each received one mention, the same level of acclaim accorded to “Dick in a Box”.
UPDATE: HU Favorite Lists of Music Lists 2008 honoree Glenn McDonald has released his statistical analysis of the Pazz & Jop albums poll.
In the words of Springfield Elementary’s Mr. Largo: “NO ONE LIKES G.L.O.W.!”

Nice to see “Paper Planes” and “L.E.S Artiste” in the top ten though.
